Role & responsibility on the board?

My role, as the Director of the Minor League it is my responsibility to enrich the coaching staff with the guidance and assistance that may be needed by each individual volunteer. Each year I coordinate meetings between all of the head coaches and volunteers to review the specific guidelines and rules that we play by here in Thurmont and to help make sure that everyone is working together to have fun and teach the players the game of baseball. In addition to assisting the coaches I also act as a liaison between the coaches in the coordination of the practice schedule, field maintenance schedule and umpire schedule.

Share some of your experience or talents you bring to the board:

This is my second time around volunteering in TLL baseball.  I’ve coached fall and spring T-ball, Minor and Major league teams during the years my son played baseball, and now participating with TLL as Minor League Director and Minor League coach as my grandson plays baseball.

What do you enjoy about being a part of TLL?

TLL is a volunteer organization that goes all out to provide a great baseball environment for the kids. It’s the volunteers who coach teams, board of directors, parents and family members that make TLL a great place to learn and play baseball.  Volunteering is enjoyable if there good support and commitment from others who volunteer and that is exactly want TLL has in their volunteers. Most gratifying volunteering with TLL is watching kids progress in their skills from the first day of practice to the last game no matter the division.
