2017 Hit-A-Thon - Saturday, May 20th
THE HIT-A-THON IS TLL'S MAJOR FUNDRAISER FOR THE SPRING SEASON - WE NEED YOUR HELP.
Dear Parents & Players,
Thurmont Little League is having our 5th Annual Hit-A-Thon as the major fund raiser for the Spring Season. This is a great opportunity to let the players showcase their hitting skills and it will be a fun day for the whole family. Since we own and operate our facility through our Board of Directors, and receive limited financial assistance from outside the organization, every penny we raise from the Hit-A-Thon goes directly to improving the baseball experience for our players. We appreciate your support.getting pledges and thank you!
The rules are as follows:

• Players will receive pledge sheets and they will find people to sponsor them for the Hit-A-Thon. Sponsors can be friends, neighbors, family members, or co-workers, but please be careful of going door-to-door. Sponsors will pay a flat donation. Please make checks payable to Thurmont Little League.

• Each player can create their own web page that can be used to gain sponsors, especially from friends and relatives that live far away. To set up your players page, go to our league page at https://www.razoo.com/team/TLL2017HitAThon From there, simply select the ‘Join This Team’ button under the donation section in the middle of the page and your baseball player can create and customize their own page with pictures and videos as well as keeping track of the Hit-A-Thon leaders as the event gets closer. This is the perfect venue to show those baseball pictures they’ve been waiting to show friends. All online pledges are tax deductible.

• Players earn at-bats for every $10 in flat donations obtained. For example: a player obtains $35 in donations; this player would earn 3 at-bats. There is no limit to the amount of contributions the player can collect, but a maximum of 10 at-bats can be obtained due to time considerations. Bring your pledge sheets and money or a print out of your online donations to your Hit-A-Thon time slot. This year, as part of Thurmont Little League giving back, each participate will receive an extra Hit if he/she brings a non-perishable food item for the Thurmont Food Bank.

• An at-bat consists of hitting a fair ball a minimum distance of 20 ft. (The fields will be lined)

• No Big Barrel bats are allowed.
• A time schedule for each division and team will come out prior to the event. If you cannot make your assigned time please let us know ASAP to see if other arrangements can be made.
Prizes will be awarded in the days following the event to those that hit the longest ball and to those that raise the most money in their respective divisions. The concession stand will be open all day and several additional activities will be available for the kids throughout the day.
Good luck getting pledges and thank you!
