Role & responsibility on the board?

As the manager of league initiatives it is my responsibility to find and apply for grants and enhance the league/complex. 

 

Share some of your experience or talents you bring to the board:

I have been volunteering in youth baseball since 2011 and have been with Thurmont Little League since 2014. Along the way I have been a board member and coach for 4 summer and fall seasons.  In the fall of 2013 I was voted on to the TLL board and have held the roles of VP of TB/Instructional in 2014 and VP of Minors in 2014 - 2016.

 

What do you enjoy about being a part of TLL?

I love being part of the baseball community and the sense of pride that comes along with the TLL name. There is a lot asked of the volunteers in Thurmont to do the very best that we can for the kids. While the coordination and planning is done through the Board, the league itself cannot be the success that it has been without the families that participate. Seeing the kids return year after year reminds me of the one true reason we all meet on the baseball field in the spring, to have fun! Watching the players learn the game of baseball from the early age of tee-ballers all the way to the 12 year olds in the majors is extremely rewarding and seeing those kids smile time and again shows me that they are having fun and enjoy playing the game of baseball.
